Description

Vintage Porcelain Casserole Dish

By Noritake M

Made in Japan

Possibly Blue Dawn pattern – very similar just different flowers

Beautiful vintage round casserole dish

Features floral designs with what look like yellow, pink, blue and red roses, daisies, buttercups, and honey suckle flowers

That flower design alternates with a white rose/buttercup flower design on blue background with filigree around it

Both sit on a pale yellow stripe that runs around the body of the dish

The dish has both handles on either side and a foot

There are gold accents on the handles, as well as a gold rim around the bottom of the foot

The lid has the same flora design on a pale yellow border around the edge of it

The knob on top has gold accents, as well as a gold rim

The border pattern on the lid matches up with border pattern on the body to create filigree and floral shield designs

The bottom is marked Noritake Japan and has the letter M in a laurel wreath as the logo

Porcelain – possibly bone china

Beautifully done

Simple elegance, without being overly fancy

Great for sides, pastas, etc or just use decoratively

Both decorative and functional

Great gift idea

Measures approx 2.75″ tall on body without lid 6″ tall with lid to top of knobĀ  x 8.5″ diameter at widest x 10.5″ wide counting handles

There are some very minor wear spots to both the gold and the floral design – really have to inspect to see most of them

Also, there is one big chip on the bottom rim of the foot

Still a very pretty, nice piece

Very good shape
