Lot of 2 vintage wood trivets
Hand carved (I believe)
Made in India
Set of 2 wood trivets – not sure of wood type
First one is octagonal in shape and features deep carved floral, fan and vine design with cutouts
The center has a in lay design of made of some kind of white plastic (?) in the shape of leaves on a stem with a white border around it
The edge of the wood has little filigree curls that end with cutout strips down the side
Stamped 260 10 India on the back (or 260 0 – can’t quite make the top number out)
The second one is in a heart shape
It has a leave and vine design carved into with deep cutouts
The center features an almost octagonal beehive design
It has the same filigree curls and stripes down the side
Both have round wood feet on the bottom
The carving is very rustic, but nice
Both decorative and functional
Great gift idea
Measure approx 4.5″ wide x 6.25″ and 5.25″ x 4″ (heart)
They are rustic, so they do have rough edges and some minor wear to wood
The inlay on the one is missing part of the outer border and the border in in one spot on the inlay is not flush with the wood (it is raised above it)
No major wear
No cracks or dents
Good to very good shape
